About the Current Projects

Where will they be located? When will they be installed?

New Jersey Wind Port - Construction is currently in progress. Located on the Delaware River in Lower Alloways Creek, Salem County, New Jersey Expected to support up to $500 million of new economic activity within the state and the region each year.

Project #1: Ocean Wind 1 - Located approximately 15 miles southeast of Atlantic City. Fully funded and approved at the state and federal level. Final permitting expected to be complete in December, 2023. Commercial operation expected in 2024. BOEM Link

Project #2: Empire Wind 1 & 2 - Located approximately 20 miles east of Sandy Hook. State and federal permitting applications filed. Commercial operation expected in 2027. BOEM Link

Project #3: Atlantic Shores North & South - Located approximately 10-20 miles offshore southern New Jersey. State and federal permitting applications filed. Commercial operation expected in 2028. BOEM Link

Project #4: Ocean Wind 2 - Located approximately 10 miles offshore southern New Jersey. State and federal permitting applications not filed. Construction expected to begin in 2028.

Project #5: NY Bight (NYB) - Six separate parcels located approximately 20 to 70 miles offshore northern New Jersey and Long Island. BOEM auctions completed. State and federal permitting applications just starting. Construction expected to begin in 2028. BOEM Link

So what will it look like?
